Opening 11:07 AM – Teresa (President) opened the meeting with introductions
Finance Report given by Regina Schardt
$2850 received from HOA dues (mandatory)
$2720 received for social dues (optional)
5 homes are outstanding in dues – we have a few homes that have not submitted dues for multiple years and liens against their property has been filed
Committee Reports
Technology – NA
Lighting – all lighting has been completed for each of the entrance ways
Deeds and Restrictions – It is necessary to get sign-off from the Deeds/Restriction chair prior to submitting any upgrades to your property.
Sprinklers – Sprinklers have been installed in each of the three entranceways (Raven, Kingsmill, and Sutters Lane)
Landscaping – will be deferred unto 2023
Holiday Lighting – current lights need to be replaced with LED’s. Estimate is being quoted
Hospitality – Lisa Katzman continues to reach out to new neighbors. Lack of feedback when she reaches out. Please encourage your new neighbors to reach out to Lisa – Lisa brings a small gift, a directory and invitation to Kirkwood’s Facebook page.
Directory – 2022/23 have not been printed to date. Jean will continue to work with Cathedral Directories – if you have a phone change or email change please contact Jean Fay
Social – Food Trucks on Thursdays
Halloween Parade – to be scheduled by Lisa Katzman
Solstice Walk – to be scheduled by Teresa Roscoe
Lots of other ideas have been suggested; however, we need volunteers to plan and host the events. Please consider supporting an event in the future.

Add a Lake board member to the Kirkwood HOA board.
Question regarding Kirkwood insurance being missed on finance report – Regina is investigating
Lake owners are having issues with the culverts collapsing and debris entering the lake since the roads have been completed
Our treasurer would like to remind neighbors selling their property to notify your relator and /or title company to allow at least 3 days notice for your HOA letter requests. Requests should be submitted to Kirkwoodimprovementassoc@gmail.com.
Home maintenance – As a reminder, township regulations such as weeds/grass higher than 8 inches, empty pots on porches, boats/pods in driveway, etc. are not allowed. For a full list, go to Bloomfield Twp
Election of Officers
We did not get any volunteers to replace any of the existing board members or committee chairs. The board has agreed to continue for 2022/23.
Please consider getting involved and adding your ideas to the board.
